
Pilaf (simple recipe)
Description
Serve the finished pilaf by placing the rice on a plate and arranging the dried fruits around it. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon on top. This pilaf looks festive, so feel free to serve it to your guests. This dish is especially popular with children. Moreover, this pilaf is healthy and easy to prepare. Usually, during cooking, dough is placed at the bottom of the cauldron under the rice; it soaks up the oil and becomes the favorite part of the dish.

Boil the rice until half-cooked, drain the water, and set aside.

Pour 200 ml of warm water over saffron and let it sit. You will need 2 tablespoons for the pilaf.

Heat the pot, add the rice in a heap, then pour melted clarified butter and saffron infusion over the top. Cover with a lid and cook over low heat for 30–40 minutes.

Wash the dried fruits and soak them in warm water until they swell. Sauté them slightly in clarified butter on a preheated skillet for 5–7 minutes.
