Wheat porridge pilaf
Description
Wheat porridge is delicious in any form: it can be porridge cooked in milk, a meat pilaf, porridge with vegetables, or simply as a side dish. It cooks relatively quickly, especially in a multicooker. This recipe works well for modern appliances as well as for cooking on a regular stovetop.

Step 1

1. You can cook wheat porridge pilaf at home either in a saucepan or in a multicooker. I decided to save time and use modern equipment. First, chop the pork and place it in the multicooker bowl to fry in vegetable oil.

Step 2

2. After browning the meat slightly, add the chopped onion, carrot, and any vegetables of your choice. I used frozen asparagus and corn.

Step 3

3. Rinse the wheat cereal several times. Pour it over the top of the meat and vegetables after they have been sautéed.

Step 4

4. Pour in water, then add salt and season to taste. Set the cooking mode for porridge with meat. In my appliance, the "Cooking" process takes about 35 minutes.

Step 5

5. In some multicookers, there is a "Pilaf" or "Buckwheat" mode – these will also work. When the cooking process is complete, the appliance will notify its owner.

Step 6

6. Mix our pilaf and add a little butter to it. Serve hot.
