Bulgur pilaf with mushrooms
Description
To prepare the dish even faster, use chicken fillet instead of pork. Reduce the cooking time by 20–25 minutes. You can add spices for pilaf or meat if desired, but in my opinion, the dish is already well-balanced on its own. Here's how to make it:
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Peel and wash the vegetables. Wash the meat and mushrooms, then dry them with a paper towel. Rinse the bulgur several times with water.
- 2
Step 2

In a heavy-bottomed skillet or saucepan, heat a little oil and sauté the mushrooms sliced into pieces. Then remove the fried mushrooms from the skillet onto a plate.
- 3
Step 3

Add a little more oil to the same skillet and sauté finely chopped onion, then add carrot cut into small sticks.
- 4
Step 4

When the carrots are slightly sautéed, add the meat cut into pieces. Fry together for 15-20 minutes, stirring, and season with salt to taste. Then cover with a lid and continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes. When the meat is ready, place the fried mushrooms on top.
- 5
Step 5

And add the washed grain. Spread the grain evenly across the entire skillet and pour in water to a level 1.5 cm above the grain.
- 6
Step 6

After boiling, season with salt to taste, cover with a lid, reduce the heat to the minimum, and cook under the lid until the liquid has completely evaporated.
- 7
Step 7

Plov is ready!
