
Vegetable pilaf
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Of course, traditional pilaf is cooked in a cauldron using fresh lamb. But pilaf without meat is also a delicious dish. Preparing this dish won't take you much time. Serve hot.

1. Before starting to cook pilaf, rinse the rice thoroughly in cold water several times. Wash and peel the onion and carrots. Cut them into small cubes. You will need a deep frying pan or a cauldron (kazan). Pour vegetable oil into the pan and heat it until hot. Sauté the onion and carrots in it, then add butter.

2. When the butter has melted, mix everything together and place the rice on the vegetable sauté. Spread it evenly, then sprinkle with salt and seasonings.

3. Pour water into the pan with the ingredients. There should be enough water to cover the rice by 1-1.5 cm.

4. Place a whole, unpeeled, washed garlic bulb into the pilaf.

5. Cover the pan with a lid. Reduce the heat and cook the pilaf for about 25 minutes. Remove the lid and stir the cooked pilaf. Take out the whole garlic head, peel the cloves, and place a few cloves into the plates with pilaf.
