Description

The recipe won't take much time. According to this recipe, the buns turn out light and aromatic. The house fills with the pleasant scent of homemade sweet pastry, radiating warmth and care. Now I'll tell you. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

Prepare the ingredients for the buns. Take the butter out of the refrigerator in advance so it reaches room temperature. The water and milk should be warm, 38-40 degrees.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

Do not use all the flour at once. Reserve some flour for dusting the table and shaping the buns. Sift the flour, mix it with sugar, salt, and vanilla, then stir well.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

Dissolve the yeast in water and mix with milk. Make a well in the flour and pour in the liquid. Begin kneading the dough.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

During kneading, add 100 g of soft butter into the dough. Knead the dough until it is no longer sticky to the hands and becomes soft and pliable. Cover with a clean cloth and let it rise in a warm, draft-free place for 1 hour.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

After an hour, the dough should triple in size. Knead it with your hands, reshape into a ball, and let it rise again under a towel in a warm place for another hour.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

When the dough has risen again, it's time to shape the buns. Divide the dough into 10 pieces. Lightly dust the work surface with flour.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

Roll out each ball of dough as thin as possible into a rectangular shape. Brush with butter and sprinkle with sugar.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

First, roll it into a tube, but don't press down too hard. Then, tightly seal the edge.

  9. 9

    Step 9

    Step 9

Now place the dough on its side, with the sealed edge facing away from you, and use a sharp knife to cut the dough into two parts, leaving 1-2 cm from the far edge.

  10. 10

    Step 10

    Step 10

Roll out the dough to form a heart or a bow.

  11. 11

    Step 11

    Step 11

Transfer the buns to a baking sheet—I lined mine with foil and greased it with cooking fat. Let the buns rise for about 30 minutes. Be sure to cover them with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap (grease the plastic wrap with vegetable oil to prevent the buns from sticking). After 30 minutes, brush the buns with egg and sprinkle with sugar. Bake in the oven at 190°C (375°F) for 30–35 minutes.

  12. 12

    Step 12

    Step 12

The classic buns are ready! Remove from the foil, transfer to a wire rack and let cool. Enjoy!
