
Braided yeast pastry with nuts

1. Knead the dough. To do this, mix 500 grams of flour with 50 grams of sugar and one egg.

2. Add 150 grams of butter, a pinch of salt, and 1/8 liter of milk with 25 grams of yeast dissolved in it.

3. Knead the dough well and punch out the air. Place it in a warm spot to rise.

4. Prepare the filling. Chop 150 grams of nuts, add 75 grams of sugar, 1 tablespoon of rum, 3 tablespoons of cream, 100 grams of apricot jam, and a little cinnamon.

5. When the dough has risen, knead it again and roll it out into a flat sheet. Spread the filling on top. Roll the dough up along the long side, then cut it in half lengthwise. Braid the two parts together beautifully.

6. Transfer the braid to a baking sheet, let it rest for another 10 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 50 minutes, then remove from the baking sheet and let cool.
