Serbian-style plum cake
Description
Let me share a great recipe for Serbian-style pleskovica. For clarity, I'll attach step-by-step photos at the bottom. You'll need to buy a kilogram of minced meat for cooking, but pleskovica is definitely worth it! Don't forget to put the prepared mince in the refrigerator for 10–12 hours after preparation—it must marinate. This is very important.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Mix beef and pork mince in a container. Add a tablespoon of salt and a teaspoon of red pepper on top.
- 2
Step 2

Pour 2/3 cup of carbonated water into the bowl with the meat. Mix thoroughly. When the meat mixture becomes uniform, cover the surface with olive oil. Now the most important part: let the meat mixture marinate. Cover the bowl tightly with a lid and place it in the refrigerator for about 10 hours.

Step 3

After 10 hours, we took our plums from the refrigerator. Finely chop the onion and add it to the common bowl.
- 4
Step 4

Grease the board with oil. Take a portion of the filling and spread it on the board into a patty.
- 5
Step 5

Fry the patty on both sides.
- 6
Step 6

Be careful, as the batter will rise quickly and become fluffy due to the soda added earlier. Meanwhile, the fat in the pan will splatter.

Step 7

Place the ready-made cutlets on a plate. Traditionally, they go well with fries and fresh vegetables.
