These are traditional Moldovan flatbreads, in which the filling is wrapped in a specific way and shaped into a round form. The filling can vary, but the combination of potatoes with herbs and onions is the most common. Soft and delicious, it provides a feeling of fullness for a long time.     1. Before preparing potato placinta, sift the flour. Mix it with salt. Add water and knead the dough for several minutes until smooth and firm. Shape into a ball, cover with a towel, and let it rest. Take out the dough, divide into 6 or 8 small balls, cover with a towel, and set aside for about 10 minutes.

    2. Prepare the filling. Peel the potatoes and cut them into small pieces. Peel and finely chop the onion. Chop the washed greens. Combine everything in one bowl and season with salt.

    3. Roll out each ball of dough as thinly as possible. Place the filling in the center of the dough circle, about 2 tablespoons. Now fold the dough starting from the corners. To seal better, slightly moisten the edges of the dough.

    4. Heat a skillet with vegetable oil. Place the placinta on the skillet seam-side down. Cover with a lid. Cook over low heat. When one side is fried, flip it to the other side. Cover with a lid again and continue cooking over low heat until the filling is fully cooked. Serve the placinta warm.
