Apple puree
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. The apples can be baked if desired, or boiled. Puree made from boiled fruit has a more delicate taste, but is slightly less nutritious than that made from baked apples. For young children, it's best to boil the pulp, while for others, baking is preferable, as baking retains all the beneficial vitamins and microelements within the fruit. Serve the apple puree either warm or chilled — it tastes equally delicious. The ready dessert can now be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. If using sour apples, double the amount of sugar to ensure the sweetness balances the tartness in the finished dessert.
- 2
Step 2

Thoroughly wash the fruits and dry them with paper towels. Then peel them using a vegetable peeler or a knife. You can boil the fruits whole, but since apples are currently treated with paraffin, it's better to remove the peel.
- 3
Step 3

Then slice the flesh into small pieces into a cauldron, saucepan, or pot with a non-stick bottom. Pour a little warm water into it. Do not add too much liquid, as the apple slices will release their own juice.
- 4
Step 4

Add sugar: granulated sugar or sugar cubes — it doesn't matter. You can also add a little ground cinnamon or vanilla sugar — it won't hurt. These sweet spices will give the puree an incredible aroma!
- 5
Step 5

Place the container on the stove and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and simmer the apple slices covered for about 15–20 minutes.
- 6
Step 6

When it becomes fully juicy and steamed, and slightly reduces in volume, you can start making mashed potatoes. Drain all the juice from the container.
- 7
Step 7

Place the chopped ingredients into a tall container suitable for an immersion blender or into a deep vessel with high sides to avoid splashing. Do not add any liquid—the ingredients are juicy enough.
- 8
Step 8

Purée it with an immersion blender for 3-4 minutes until smooth. If you haven't added sweet spices and seasonings yet, you can do so at this stage. You can even mix in a little jam, syrup, or topping.

Step 9

Place the apple purée into dessert glasses or bowls, chill if desired, or serve warm with sweet pastries and drinks. Enjoy your meal!
