Mashed potatoes
Description
Mashed potatoes are a universal side dish. They go well with almost any dish—meat, poultry, fish, and mushrooms. Suitable for all ages, mashed potatoes are eaten by infants, children, adults, and the elderly alike. But really, there's no need to explain— you already know what mashed potatoes are and what to eat them with :)
Instructions

Step 1

We put peeled potatoes, cut into small pieces (the smaller the pieces, the faster they will cook), into boiling slightly salted water and cook until done. Doneness is determined by the old-fashioned method—poking with a fork or knife; if it goes in and comes out easily, it's ready.

Step 2

When the potatoes are ready, drain the water. Start mashing the potatoes with a potato masher, gradually adding warm milk and heated butter. Continue mashing until the potatoes become completely smooth and free of lumps.

Step 3

When the mashed potatoes are well beaten, you can add a little fresh herbs and mix everything thoroughly. The mashed potatoes are ready!
