
Pea puree for a side dish

Place the peas in a colander and rinse thoroughly under water. Then transfer them to a bowl and cover with cold water. Let them soak for several hours, or preferably overnight.

Rinse the beef under water, remove tendons and membranes. Dry with paper towels and cut into elongated pieces. Fry the meat with salt, spices, bay leaf, and vegetable oil in a skillet or a multicooker bowl until fully cooked.

Rinse the swollen peas again under running water. Place them in a saucepan and pour in two cups of cold water. Simmer over low heat until the water has evaporated. At the end, season with salt and blend the cooked peas with a blender or mash with a potato masher until smooth.

To prepare a delicious sauce for your dish, you will need to peel the onion and carrots and wash them. Chop the onion into cubes and grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, then add onion and carrot. Add tomato paste and a glass of water. Stir, add spices and salt. Simmer until the liquid reduces by half.

Combine the starch with the flour and add them to the skillet with the remaining ingredients. Let the sauce simmer for a couple more minutes, then remove from heat. Serve the meat with mashed peas and the sauce while hot.
