Banana and Apple Puree

Description

I'm sure that classic preserves like blackcurrant or raspberry jam no longer hold much interest for modern home cooks (though of course they're just as delicious as ever!). But I think an original yet simple banana and apple purée recipe like this one will be popular! Plus, you don't need a slow cooker for this banana and apple purée recipe at all—you can make it the same way in a cauldron on the stovetop (or in a heavy-bottomed saucepan). Try it—it's that simple. Serve it at the table or keep it in the pantry.

    1. Prepare the ingredients. Wash the apples, peel them, and remove the cores and seeds. Slice them fairly thin. Peel the bananas and cut them into rounds.

    2. Add the fruit to the slow cooker, along with one and a half slow cooker measuring cups of water. Cook on "Stew" mode for 15–20 minutes.

    3. Using a blender, puree the fruit right in the slow cooker. Add condensed milk and stir. Cook on "Stew" mode for another 40 minutes.

    4. Now transfer into prepared sterile jars and seal with sterile lids. Done! Store this puree in a cool place.
