
Chocolate and meringue pastries
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Soft chocolate pastries with crunchy meringue—a unique and delicious dessert for any occasion. Serve chilled.

1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Line the baking pan with aluminum foil, leaving overhangs on the edges to make it easier to remove the foil later. Spray the foil with oil.

2. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl; set aside. Using a mixer on high speed, beat softened butter, 1 cup brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add egg yolks, water, and vanilla extract; beat until combined.

3. Reduce speed to low, add the flour mixture and beat until a smooth batter forms. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.

4. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and gently press them into the dough.

5. In a clean bowl, use a mixer on medium speed to beat the egg whites into a thick foam. Add the remaining 1 cup of brown sugar and beat until smooth.
