Pastries
Description
You can prepare the "peaches" even faster by using only sweetened condensed milk as the creamy filling. You can choose a single color for the "peaches"—yellow or orange. If you prefer natural food colorings, I recommend using freshly squeezed juices. Carrot juice will give an orange color, and beet juice will give a red color. The baked goods are ready. Serve at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Blend the butter and sugar with a blender.
- 2
Step 2

2. While continuing to whisk, add vanilla and eggs to the batter.
- 3
Step 3

3. In a separate bowl, mix the sifted flour and baking powder. Then add to the dough. Mix well.
- 4
Step 4

4. Shape the dough into balls, each about the size of a tablespoon, and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 5 cm apart.
- 5
Step 5

5. Bake the pastries in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 11 minutes. Then remove and let cool.
- 6
Step 6

6. Using a sharp small knife, cut a shallow indentation on the flat side of each baked disc. Imagine our "peach" needs a "pit," or rather, a hole for it. Be extremely careful—the "peaches" are very fragile and may break apart. Collect the cut-out pieces in a separate small bowl, as we will need them soon.
- 7
Step 7

7. Let's move on to the creamy filling. In a bowl, mix the whipped cream with the condensed milk.
- 8
Step 8

8. If you're adding rum, do so now. Then, in a separate bowl, use your hands to crush the centers removed from the pastries into crumbs.
- 9
Step 9

9. Add the crumb mixture to the creamy filling. Mix well.
- 10
Step 10

10. So, the filling is ready. Now take one half, fill the indentation with cream, slightly spread it over the flat surface of the cookie, and stick it together with the second half. Mound the filling slightly in the central indentation, as the sweet "hill" will fit into the hole of the second cookie half.
- 11
Step 11

11. When joining the halves, press them together slightly, but don't overdo it.
- 12
Step 12

12. Prepare three dishes. Put several tablespoons of sugar into one. Pour a glass of milk into each of the other two and add food coloring. Orange color is obtained by mixing 50 drops of red with 20 drops of yellow.
- 13
Step 13

13. Dip one half of the assembled pastry into the yellow paint.
- 14
Step 14

14. Then dip the painted part into sugar.
- 15
Step 15

15. Carefully hold by the painted part and repeat the same procedure with the orange paint.
- 16
Step 16

15. Place the decorated cupcakes on a baking sheet lined with foil and let stand for an hour.
- 17
Step 17

16. Before serving, decorate some of the "peach" pastries with mint leaves. Enjoy!
