Description

Homemade pastries for tea. From puff pastry you can make all kinds of baked goods that always turn out exceptionally tender and delicious. Today we are making turnovers with cottage cheese filling and dried fruit. You can use any dried fruit you like, and you may also add nuts or dried cranberries if you wish. To make the pastries not only tasty but also attractive, we will shape the turnovers like flowers reminiscent of lotuses. Nothing fancy, yet still pretty and delicious. The pastries are ready. Serve them at the table.

    Prepare all the ingredients.

    Rinse the dried fruit, pour boiling water over it, and leave for 5 minutes, then chop with a knife.

    Pass the cottage cheese through a sieve or mash it well with a fork. Add the egg and sugar.

    Mix and add chopped dried fruit.

    Mix everything once more. The filling is ready.

    Roll the dough into a thin sheet and cut into circles about 8–10 cm in diameter.

    Place the filling in the center, pinch the edges tightly toward the center, and turn over.

    Transfer the prepared pieces to an ovenproof dish greased with oil and brush with egg yolk. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.
