Pastry
Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. The pastries are especially good after chilling in the refrigerator for 3–4 hours: they absorb moisture and become very tender and melt-in-your-mouth. You can choose the diameter of the pastries as you like. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the necessary ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Melt the butter and cool until slightly warm.
- 3
Step 3

Add sugar and sour cream to the butter.
- 4
Step 4

Mix the ingredients until smooth and uniform.
- 5
Step 5

Add the flour and baking soda.
- 6
Step 6

Knead the dough thoroughly. It should be thick and soft.
- 7
Step 7

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the dough on it and smooth it evenly. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20–25 minutes. Allow for your oven’s quirks.
- 8
Step 8

When the time is up, take out the baking sheet with the cake layer. Let it cool.
- 9
Step 9

Make the cream. Mix sour cream with sugar. Refrigerate.
- 10
Step 10

When the cake layer has cooled, cut out round pieces. I used a mug with an 8 cm diameter. You will need an even number of pieces.
- 11
Step 11

Grate the trimmings into crumbs using a grater.
- 12
Step 12

Assemble the pastries. To do this, dip each piece into chilled cream and join them two at a time, together.
- 13
Step 13

Roll in crumbs, pressing them lightly.
- 14
Step 14

Place the finished pastries on a board or platter and chill in the refrigerator for 3–4 hours.
- 15
Step 15

Remove from the oven and serve warm or cooled.
