Sponge cake pastry
Description
The recipe won't take much time. If you want to know, the baking is ready. Serve at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

First, you need to bake the sponge cake. To do this, mix eggs, sugar, sifted flour, and starch in a bowl. Pour the mixture onto a baking sheet previously lined with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake for 20 minutes.
- 2
Step 2

When the biscuit is ready, take it out of the oven and let it cool. After it has cooled completely, break the cake into small pieces and place them into the blender container.
- 3
Step 3

At maximum speed, blend the broken biscuit for two minutes until you get fine crumbs. If you don't have a blender, you can use a rolling pin or meat grinder instead.
- 4
Step 4

In a small glass bowl, beat the butter and powdered sugar at maximum mixer speed. Once the mixture turns pale, add the condensed milk and continue beating for a few more minutes.
- 5
Step 5

Place the cream over the crumbled sponge cake. Add a spoonful of cognac on top. You can substitute it with liqueur or rum. The alcohol will add a very aromatic note to the pastries. Mix all ingredients thoroughly until smooth.
- 6
Step 6

Form small "potatoes" from the resulting sweet mixture. Place them on a baking sheet or any other surface.
- 7
Step 7

Place cocoa powder into a small bowl. Roll each "potato" in the cocoa powder one by one. Let the pastries rest, then roll them in cocoa powder again. Leave the finished treats in the refrigerator for an hour.
