Pirozhki dough
Description
Homemade pastries for tea. With this dough you can make pies with any filling: meat, vegetable, fruit, etc. The dough turns out tender and very tasty, pairing perfectly with everything. The preparation won’t be difficult; even a housewife with minimal experience can manage it. Whether fried or baked, the pies stay soft even the next day. This recipe is one of my favorites, I hope you’ll like it too. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients according to the list.
- 2
Step 2

In a deep bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, yeast, and butter.
- 3
Step 3

Stir.
- 4
Step 4

Add warm water.
- 5
Step 5

First mix everything with a spoon, and then continue kneading by hand.
- 6
Step 6

Gather the dough into a ball, cover the bowl with a towel and let it “rise” in a warm place without drafts. To speed up the dough rising process, you can use a multicooker or an oven.
- 7
Step 7

I place the bowl in the multicooker pot, cover it with a lid and set the temperature to 40 °C. You can also put the dough in the oven, also at a temperature of 40‑50 °C.
- 8
Step 8

After the time has elapsed, grease your hands with vegetable oil and knead the dough again.
- 9
Step 9

Place it again in a warm place for another 40 minutes. The dough should increase in size by almost 2 times.
- 10
Step 10

The risen dough needs to be kneaded. The pastry dough is ready. Divide it into pieces (the size depends on the desired size of the pies) and you can start preparing the pies.
- 11
Step 11

I have potato pies today.
- 12
Step 12

The dough turns out thin, delicate, and very tasty. I definitely recommend trying it!
- 13
Step 13

Good luck with baking!
