Description

This recipe won't take much time. I think many people enjoy using apples with cinnamon as a filling for buns, as it turns out not only very tasty but also fragrant. I also love this combination, and I make my dough exclusively from cottage cheese—buns made with it turn out much softer, and besides, such dough is very easy to prepare. That's why today I want to share with you a recipe for cottage cheese and apple buns, which will make a wonderful treat for both adults and children. Plus, you'll spend minimal time on these buns, so you can even prepare them in the morning before work, because nothing beats a cup of hot tea or coffee with some delicious, freshly baked goods. With this simple recipe for cottage cheese and apple buns, you're in for a wonderful morning and a positive mood throughout the day. The baking is ready. Serve at the table.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

Mash the cottage cheese and softened butter with a fork, add the egg, baking powder, and salt, then mix. Gradually add flour to this mixture and knead the dough until it becomes very soft and tender. Shape the dough into a ball, cover it with a towel, and place it in the refrigerator for now.

    Step 2

While the dough is resting, place a skillet on the stove, add the remaining butter and sugar, then pour in the mineral water to make a caramel. Once the mixture thickens, add the peeled and diced apple, sauté for a couple of minutes, turn off the heat, and let it cool.

When the filling has cooled slightly, take the dough out of the refrigerator and roll it out on a floured flat surface into a thin layer. Then, using a cup, cut out circles from the dough and place a portion of the filling onto each circle, sprinkling it with cinnamon.

Tightly seal the edges of the dough and shape the buns into neat and attractive pastries.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the buns on it. Brush their tops with milk (for a golden crust). Put the baking sheet into a preheated oven at 170-180°C (340-355°F) for 30 minutes. Once ready, sprinkle the buns with ground cinnamon and powdered sugar, then serve.
