Description

Delicious baked treats for the whole family. If you'd like to treat yourself to something tasty yet not too heavy on the stomach or your wallet, this simple recipe for chanterelle mushroom turnovers is just for you :) I'll mention right away that we won't be using yeast, and the turnovers will be fried in a pan—perfect as a snack or side dish. Here's the recipe: 1. First, prepare the yeast-free dough. Sift flour together with a small amount of baking soda and mix. Add a pinch of salt and sugar (no more than 1 tablespoon), pour in sour cream and eggs, then mix again until all lumps disappear. 2. Set the dough aside to let the ingredients "get acquainted" :) Meanwhile, take out the chanterelle mushrooms to thaw, and soften some margarine (or butter), then add it to the mixture. Note that for this recipe, it doesn't matter whether you use sour cream or kefir. So if you don't have sour cream, just use whatever you have available :) 3. Set the prepared dough aside again (if you're not an experienced baker, it's better to put it in the freezer for a while), and now focus on the filling. Finely chop the onions and mushrooms, but don't mix them yet. 4. Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil. First, sauté the onions until translucent, then add the chanterelles and cook over medium heat until fully done. Season with salt, pepper, and spices to taste. 5. Now, divide the chilled dough into portions, cutting pieces about 5 mm thick. Roll them out, place the filling inside (but not too much, so you can seal the edges), then pinch the edges together and gently roll over the top with a rolling pin. Set the filled turnovers aside for 10–15 minutes. 6. Take a deep frying pan and generously pour oil into it, because we'll be frying the turnovers. Place the pan over medium heat, and once the oil is hot, carefully add the turnovers. Fry each turnover on both sides until golden brown and crispy. That's it! All that's left is to arrange them nicely on a plate and serve. Simple, budget-friendly, yet incredibly delicious—these chanterelle turnovers will turn out wonderfully using this easy recipe! Good luck :) Serve warm or cooled. Perfect with tea.
