Pies with filling
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. Let's prepare quick yeast dough. For the filling, I'll use a classic version - potatoes with onions. Can be served with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. Prepare the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

2. First, you need to boil the potatoes for the filling. To do this, cut them into large pieces, cover with water, add salt, and cook for 25 minutes with the lid on.
- 3
Step 3

3. Chop the peeled onion and fry in oil until golden brown.
- 4
Step 4

4. Set aside the prepared onion for now.
- 5
Step 5

5. While the potatoes are boiling, you can prepare the dough. Mix the warm water with the yeast and dissolve them.
- 6
Step 6

6. Add all the remaining ingredients for the dough and mix. Gradually add the flour, kneading until you get a soft, non-stiff ball.
- 7
Step 7

7. This is the quick dough you should get. Wrap it in a plastic bag—I pre-grease the bag with oil so the dough won't stick to it. Let it rest for 10–15 minutes while the potatoes are boiling.
- 8
Step 8

8. Drain all the water from the cooked potatoes. Mash with a potato masher.
- 9
Step 9

9. Add the fried onion and mix. The filling is ready.
- 10
Step 10

10. Divide the dough into pieces and roll into balls slightly larger than walnuts.
- 11
Step 11

11. Roll out each ball by hand. Do not use flour. It's better to use oiled hands. Place a spoonful of filling in each. Seal the edges, then turn seam-side down.
- 12
Step 12

12. Place the buns into the hot oil; there should be plenty of oil so the buns rise well. Fry them.
- 13
Step 13

13. Fry on both sides until golden brown.
- 14
Step 14

14. The stuffed buns are ready!
