Chicken and egg buns
Description
The baking is simple and quick. You can make these buns with any filling. In our family, we enjoy both sweet and savory ones, so I decided to experiment and move away from traditional recipes. Here I present the classic recipe for chicken and egg buns, the way our grandmothers used to make them.

Step 1

1. You can use ready-made yeast dough as a base, or make it yourself. If I have time, I make no-ferment dough while the chicken for my filling is cooking.

Step 2

2. When our chicken breast is cooked, we fry it a bit with onion in vegetable oil, then salt and pepper to taste. Roll out the dough balls into even circles, and place the filling in the center: boiled chicken fillet, fried onion, and chopped boiled eggs.

Step 3

3. Pinch the edges of our buns and place them close together on a baking sheet. I usually make a "lock" shape on top – this makes them look unique when baked. Now brush the tops with egg and put them in a preheated oven at 190 degrees for about 20–25 minutes.

Step 4

4. Usually, I get 12 buns from 1 kg of dough. I also like to sprinkle them with sesame seeds on top, which not only adds visual appeal but also enhances their flavor, making it more savory.

Step 5

5. That's it! In less than 1.5 hours, we have hot and aromatic chicken and egg buns ready at home!
