Description

The pastry is simple and quick to prepare. I really love dried apricots, so I always try to add them to various dishes as often as possible, because they're not only delicious but also healthy. Although dried fruits go well even with meat, their main use is in desserts and baked goods. That's why I'm going to tell you about them now. The pastry is ready. Serve it at the table.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

Pour milk into a saucepan and heat it to 30-35 degrees. Add sugar and salt, mix well.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

Now place a piece of butter into the pot, mash it with a fork, add the eggs, and beat everything together with a whisk.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

In a separate bowl, mix the yeast and a couple of tablespoons of flour, then add to the milk mixture and stir.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Now we gradually start adding flour and kneading the dough (for about 10 minutes); it should turn out thick but not elastic, and slightly stick to the hands.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

When you have kneaded it well, pour vegetable oil into it and mix until smooth. Transfer the dough to a pot, cover with a towel, and place in a warm spot for 1.5 hours. When the time is up, knead it for a couple of minutes, then put it back in a warm place for another hour.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

Now let's prepare the filling. Place the dried apricots in a saucepan, pour in water, and put on the heat. Boil for 10 minutes after the water starts boiling.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

Then we drain the water, and when the apricots have cooled slightly, we chop them finely and mix with sugar.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

If the dough has already risen by this point, we punch it down again and place a portion of it onto a floured surface. Divide the dough into small pieces and shape them into balls.

  9. 9

    Step 9

    Step 9

Roll each ball into a flat disc and place the apricot filling in the center.

  10. 10

    Step 10

    Step 10

Seal the edges of the dough tightly so the filling doesn't leak out. Do the same with all the remaining dough.

  11. 11

    Step 11

    Step 11

Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil and place the buns seam side down. Cover the baking sheet with a towel and let the buns rise for 20-30 minutes. Then brush their tops with beaten egg yolks and put them in a preheated oven at 200°C. Bake until golden brown, usually 20-25 minutes.

  12. 12

    Step 12

    Step 12

Now we can put the hot little pies on the table and brew some tea.
