Strawberry jam buns
Description
The recipe won't take much time. 1. As with any other baked goods, first we prepare the dough. To do this, dissolve the yeast in slightly warmed milk. Then add sugar and egg, mix thoroughly, and add sifted flour and salt. Knead the dough, then let it rest and rise, covering the bowl with a towel, for example. The dough should increase significantly in volume (approximately double). 2. Now we start preparing the buns. Pinch off small pieces of dough and roll each out with a rolling pin. Place strawberry jam in the center of each piece. If the jam is too runny, you can add a little starch (about 2 teaspoons). Gather the dough edges together, sealing them well. You can shape the buns however you like. The main thing is to seal the dough tightly so the jam doesn't leak out during baking. 3. Once the buns are shaped, place them on a baking sheet (preferably greased with oil or lined with parchment paper) and cover with a towel. Let them rest for about 30 minutes, then brush with egg and place in an oven preheated to 200°C (390°F). 4. Bake the buns until golden brown. It's hard to specify the exact baking time, so you'll need to judge doneness by appearance. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
