Potato pastries without yeast
Description
Perfect for tea and coffee. The dough for these buns is made without using yeast. For the filling, you'll need boiled potatoes and fried onions. Prepare these ingredients in advance. You'll also need fresh herbs, specifically dill (one bunch is enough). Here is a classic recipe for making yeast-free potato-filled buns. Good luck! Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Add salt, sugar, baking soda, and one tablespoon of butter to the kefir. Mix well.
- 2
Step 2

Gradually add flour, stirring with a spoon. When the dough thickens, continue kneading by hand.
- 3
Step 3

At the end, add the remaining butter. The dough will be elastic and won't stick to your hands.
- 4
Step 4

Cover the dough with plastic wrap for half an hour.
- 5
Step 5

Add fried onion and finely chopped parsley to the mashed potatoes.
- 6
Step 6

Roll the dough into balls, then flatten into rounds. Place filling in the center of each round. Shape into buns. Then fry on both sides in vegetable oil.
