Bean buns
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. This recipe has plenty of advantages! First of all, the buns turn out extremely delicious—you'll see for yourself. Secondly, they are truly inexpensive—after all, you can't always afford to bake buns with meat or fish; sometimes more "economical" options are needed, such as this recipe for bean-filled buns. Next, despite the absence of meat in the filling, it's very nutritious—beans are rich in protein, so these buns will satisfy even a constantly hungry child or his dad, who never has time for a proper meal at work. They can be enjoyed with tea, with soup, or simply on their own. Finally, bean buns are excellent for fasting days (you can prepare the dough with water) and fit well into a vegetarian diet. See how many benefits there are! It's definitely worth making bean buns, isn't it? So let's get started. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions

Step 1

Make a sponge with warm milk, yeast, sugar, and flour. After half an hour, add eggs, butter, and gradually incorporate the sifted flour. Knead the dough. Place in a warm, draft-free spot until it doubles in volume. Punch down. Let it rise again. Well, in general, everything as usual ;)

Step 2

Boil the beans until fully cooked—they should become completely soft and fall apart when pierced with a fork. Drain in a colander.

Step 3

Peel the vegetables. Chop the onion finely with a knife, grate the carrot on a grater.

Step 4

Heat a pan with vegetable oil and sauté the vegetables. Add the beans and tomato paste. Salt and pepper to taste. If too thick, add a couple of tablespoons of water or bean cooking liquid. Turn off the heat. Mash the pan contents with a fork or blend in a blender.

Step 5

Pinch off a piece of dough about the size of a walnut. Roll it out or shape it into a flat round with your fingers. Place a spoonful of cooled filling in the center, then pinch the edges together.

Step 6

Place the buns on a greased baking sheet or one lined with parchment paper. Brush with sweetened water, egg, or tea. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20–25 minutes.

Step 7

Let the finished buns cool slightly and serve them - they are very delicious with sour cream or yogurt sauce.
