Blueberry turnovers made with puff pastry

120 min4 serv.21 февр. 2026 г.

Description

The baking is simple and quick. For making blueberry turnovers from puff pastry, I use ready-made dough—either yeast or non-yeast puff pastry. The berries are naturally sweet, so I add just a little sugar. See the step-by-step recipe below. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

    Thaw the dough.

  2. 2

Cut each layer into 3 parts

    Step 3

Using a glass, cut a round hole in each of the three layers.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Spray the bottom of the baking sheet with water.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Place layers of dough on a baking sheet and brush them with egg white. Put layers with holes on top. Bake until done in a preheated oven.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

Set aside some blueberries. Blend the remaining blueberries, cottage cheese, sugar, and sour cream in a blender.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

During baking, the dough puffs up in the center. Carefully lift the center with a fork and remove it.

    Step 8

We fill the resulting opening with the cottage cheese and blueberry mixture. Then we place blueberries on top of this mixture. And that's it—blueberry pastries made with puff pastry are ready. Some might think they look more like turnovers, but in my opinion, that's not so important.
