
Apricot buns
Description
Perfect with tea and coffee. The secret is simple! Prepare open-faced pies in muffin tins. Place round dough pieces into the molds, fill with apricot halves, sprinkle with sugar, and brush the top of the dough with beaten egg. Then bake in the oven. Enjoy the cooking process. Serve warm or chilled. Ideal with tea.

1. Prepare the necessary ingredients for the dough. Sift the flour into a bowl and mix with the instant dry yeast. Combine melted butter with vegetable oil.

2. Beat the eggs with sugar, vanilla, and salt, then add the oil and warm milk. Add half of the flour and mix. Incorporate the remaining flour and knead into a smooth, even dough that does not stick to hands. Shape the dough into a ball and place it into a greased bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and set in a warm place to rise for 1 hour.

3. For the filling, wash the apricots, dry them, and cut them in half.

4. After an hour, the risen dough has doubled in size.

5. Knead the dough, divide into 12 equal parts. Roll each part into a ball and flatten into a round disc. Place apricot halves in the center of each disc and sprinkle with sugar (1 tsp).

6. Place the prepared dough rounds into muffin tins, leaving the edges of the dough exposed at the top. Brush the top of each dough round with a mixture of egg yolk and 1 tablespoon of water. Bake the pastries in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes.
