Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. Priazhenie is one of the oldest types of frying in Russian cuisine. It means frying in a large amount of oil. In this method the product does not “float” in the oil, but contacts the bottom of the pan. The word “to fry” was not known in those distant times and this kind of heat treatment of dishes was called priazhenie. These are the kind of pies we will make today Serve warm or cooled. Take all the ingredients for making braided pies.

Crumble fresh yeast into a bowl.

Add the salt and sugar.

Pour warm water, warm milk, and refined sunflower oil.

Add the sifted flour.

Knead a soft, elastic dough.

Cover the dough with plastic wrap and place it in a warm place. In an hour it will increase significantly in volume.

While the dough is rising, prepare the filling for the pies. Peel, wash, and chop the onion. Then fry it in a pan until golden brown.

Peel the potatoes and wash them. Cover with water and place on the stove. Cook until done. Then drain the water and mash into a puree. Add fried onion.

Clean the mushrooms, wash them and fry them. Add them to the mashed potatoes with onion.

Season the filling with salt and pepper to taste, then mix.

Knead the risen dough and divide it into 50‑gram balls.
