Apple-filled shortbread pastries
Description
Homemade pastries for tea. These little pies will appeal to everyone thanks to the delightful contrast between the golden, crumbly shortcrust pastry and the juicy apple filling. Shaping these pastries is very easy—simply roll out two layers of dough, cut them into circles, and wrap them around apple slices. When exposed to high temperatures, the apples become much softer. To make them sweet as well, sprinkle them with sugar while preparing the pastries.
