Description

Homemade pastries for tea. For "Manzari" buns, you'll need any fresh herbs—you can even add a clove of garlic if you like a bit of spice. I used parsley, but you can mix different herbs and create your own blend. Let's take a look. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

Prepare the ingredients. The amount of flour may differ from mine due to varying cottage cheese moisture. I used very dry cottage cheese, so I needed 2 full heaping cups of flour.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

If the cottage cheese is dry, add two whole eggs to it; if it's wet, add only the egg yolks. Add salt and pepper, and mix thoroughly until there are no lumps.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

Add the flour mixed with the baking powder. Knead the dough.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Once the dough stops sticking to your hands, it can be considered ready. Divide it into portions (the number is up to you: the larger the pieces, the bigger the buns will be).

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Roll the pieces of dough into balls. Roll out each ball like a dumpling wrapper, but the thickness should be about 5-6 mm. Fill the dough with greens.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

Seal the turnover like a dumpling or a cheburek.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

Heat the refined oil well and fry the "Manzari" dumplings over low heat until golden brown on both sides.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

The first buns are ready, let them cool slightly — and serve warm. Enjoy!
