Description
Delicious baked treats for the whole family. If the Year of the Horse is approaching, I suggest making "Horse" buns—very original pastries filled with suluguni cheese and hard-boiled egg. These buns will become a real highlight of your festive table and will especially delight children! If desired, you can prepare these buns with a different filling—for example, add a bit of ham for extra flavor. Be sure to warn your guests that the black peppercorns used for the eyes should not be eaten. The baking is ready. Serve at the table.

Step 1

1. Prepare the dough: cut the butter into cubes and mix with the sifted flour. Add salt and sour cream, then knead the dough. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Step 2

2. Roll the chilled dough into a rope. Cut off pieces of dough 1-1.5 cm thick. Roll each piece into an oval-shaped patty 3 mm thick.

Step 3

3. Place the filling on the bottom of the flatbread: suluguni blended in a blender with boiled egg. Fold in the sides and the short edge, completely covering the filling, then flip the flatbread over.

Step 4

4. Make a cut between the horse's ears. Fold the cut to the back side of the pie. Roll the dough into a 3 mm thick circle, cut it into 4 pieces, then cut each piece into strips—these will be the mane.

Step 5

5. Attach the mane to the buns using water. Use black peppercorns to make the horses' eyes. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
