
Fried buns in oil
Description
Delicious baked treats for the whole family. Making these pastries is very easy—just prepare the dough using flour, butter, and water. For the filling, sauté apple pieces with sugar and nuts. Shape the pastries and fry them in oil on both sides until golden brown. Serve warm or cooled. Perfect with tea.

Put flour into a bowl, add salt.

Pour water, add butter and rub with flour by hand until a smooth dough forms.

Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.

We can now proceed to prepare the filling. Wash the apples, peel them, and cut into pieces. Heat a frying pan, add a little sunflower oil, then add the apples and sugar. Simmer over low heat for 10–12 minutes.

Add cinnamon, cardamom, and chopped nuts. Simmer for a few more minutes, stirring.

Remove the filling from the heat and let it cool down.

Form medium-sized balls from the dough. Sprinkle a little flour on the work surface. Roll out each ball into a thin layer.

Place a spoonful of filling onto one half of the rolled-out dough.

Cover the filling with dough.

To prevent the buns from spreading while frying, twist the edges of the buns.

Pour oil into a high-sided frying pan, wait for it to heat up, then add the buns. Fry on one side until a brown crust forms.

Transfer the buns from the frying pan onto paper towels to drain off excess fat.
