Butter Dough Pastries
Description
Tasty baked goods for the whole family. I call these pies “between tasks”. They are quick to make, no special skills needed. Note one nuance: if your sour cream is less than 20% fat, you can use slightly less than one cup, as its consistency is more liquid. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the necessary ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Add salt, baking powder for the dough, and grated butter to the sifted flour. Rub into crumbs.
- 3
Step 3

Add the yolk and sour cream to the crumbs. Knead a soft, pliable dough. Don't knead for long. When it comes together into a ball, that's enough.
- 4
Step 4

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

After half an hour, take the dough. Divide into portions. Optimal weight is 50 g or 14 pieces.
- 6
Step 6

Form the pies. Do not put more than 1 tbsp of filling, otherwise the pies will tear during baking.
- 7
Step 7

Transfer the pies onto a baking sheet. Bake them in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 35 minutes.
- 8
Step 8

Take the ready pastries out of the oven.
- 9
Step 9

Transfer, cool slightly, and serve.
- 10
Step 10

Ready. Serve at the table.
