Description
The recipe won't take much time. Here is a very simple recipe. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients. Thaw the dough beforehand, as it's impossible to roll out when frozen. Drain the canned cherries in a colander to remove the juice. Do not discard this juice—you can use it to make a delicious compote or jelly.
- 2
Step 2

For the pie, we will need two sheets of ready-made yeast-free puff pastry. Roll out one sheet to the size of a baking tray. Place it on a greased baking tray, forming the edges.
- 3
Step 3

Place the cherries in an even layer.
- 4
Step 4

Sprinkle the cherries with sugar. If you are using cherries canned with sugar, no additional sweetening is needed.
- 5
Step 5

Roll out the second sheet of dough and use it to cover the pie. Firmly seal the edges of the two dough sheets together.
- 6
Step 6

Brush the surface of the pie with beaten egg.
- 7
Step 7

Bake the pie in the oven for 30 minutes at 180 degrees. A beautiful golden crust will form on the finished pie.
