Description

This recipe won't take much time. There's no need to knead the dough tediously, maintain precise temperatures, or worry about drafts and loud noises forcing your family to tiptoe around... In short, this simple bread machine pie recipe has become another delightful culinary discovery I'm happy to share with you! Prepare the filling. You can use apples, raisins with nuts, cottage cheese, stewed cabbage, potatoes—basically, whatever you like best. Soften the butter in the microwave—do not melt it; it should remain thick and creamy. Place all ingredients—flour, yeast, salt, sugar, butter, and eggs—into the bread machine pan. Depending on your filling, add spices: vanilla and cinnamon for a sweet pie, dill or caraway for cabbage filling, etc. Turn on the machine and select the "Pizza" setting. The kneading will take about 15 minutes. After that, turn off the machine and let the dough rise for at least 30 minutes. Remove the dough, roll it out, and place the filling in the center, leaving the edges free. First, roll it up into a log, then coil it into a "snail" shape. The key is to get the size right—the pie should fit comfortably in the bread machine pan, leaving enough room for further rising. After about 30 minutes, when the pie has noticeably increased in size, turn on the bread machine using the "Baking" setting or another appropriate program recommended by the manufacturer. After 1.5 to 2 hours, remove the beautifully baked, aromatic pie from the machine, let it cool slightly, then slice into portions. Serve either cooled or slightly warm.
