
Pie with condensed milk
Description
This is an incredibly moist cake with a milky soak and creamy buttercream. It can be served with tea or coffee.

1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Grease a pie pan with oil. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

2. Separate the eggs into whites and yolks. Beat the egg yolks with 3/4 cup of sugar at high speed until pale yellow. Add milk and vanilla.

3. Pour the yolk mixture into the flour mixture and gently mix.

4. Beat egg whites with a mixer at high speed. While continuing to beat, add the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar.

5. Add the beaten egg whites to the dough and mix. Pour the dough into the prepared pan and level the surface.

6. Bake for 35–45 minutes. Transfer the pie to a serving plate and let it cool.

7. Mix condensed milk, sweetened condensed milk, and cream in a small bowl. When the pie has cooled, prick the surface several times with a fork. Slowly pour about 1 cup of the milk mixture over the top, allowing it to spread to the edges. Let stand for 30 minutes to allow the mixture to absorb.

8. Whip the cream with sugar. Spread the cream over the surface of the pie.

9. Decorate the pie with whole or sliced maraschino cocktail cherries, cut into squares, and serve.
