Pie
Description
Baked goods are prepared simply and quickly. A thematic cake for New Year's and Christmas holidays made from yeasted sweet dough. The bake is very tasty, just like all homemade. The dough is made simply and it is pleasant to work with. The dough uses kefir with milk. Milk can be substituted with water, and kefir with sour milk or kefir. The glaze made from milk and powdered sugar can be replaced with condensed milk. Try making aromatic buns. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Mix the milk, kefir, butter, sugar and warm to room temperature.
- 2
Step 2

Crack the egg and stir, add the yeast. Stir again.
- 3
Step 3

300 g flour mix with vanilla sugar and salt. Sprinkle it into the liquid component and stir with a spoon. Spread the remaining flour on a work surface, place the dough from the bowl onto the flour and knead by hand. The amount of flour may vary, so do not add all the flour at once; add it gradually.
- 4
Step 4

Grease the bowl with vegetable oil and place the dough in it, cover with plastic wrap and leave in a warm place to rise.
- 5
Step 5

When the dough has risen two or three times, you need to knead it.
- 6
Step 6

Divide into four parts and roll into balls.
- 7
Step 7

You can dust the work surface with flour, but it’s better to grease it with vegetable oil so the dough isn’t overloaded with flour. Roll each ball into a thin pancake, brush with vegetable oil and sprinkle with sugar. Place the second pancake on top – brush with oil and sprinkle with sugar, and the third pancake – oil and sugar. Do not brush the fourth one with oil or sprinkle it with sugar.
- 8
Step 8

Cut the dough into eight pieces – triangles.
- 9
Step 9

In the center of each triangle, make a cut, slicing through all layers.
- 10
Step 10

Turn the sharp end inside out through the slit. Fold the two tips of the wide part under.
- 11
Step 11

Assemble the snowflake-shaped pie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 12
Step 12

Leave in a warm place until the pie rises. Now you can brush the pie with beaten egg. But if you are going to make a glaze for the pie, it's better not to use the yolk, otherwise the pie will not absorb the glaze well.
- 13
Step 13

Bake the pie for about 20 minutes at 200 degrees. While the pie is baking, you can prepare the glaze. Pour warm milk into the powdered sugar and mix thoroughly. Immediately brush the finished pie with the glaze (while the pie is still hot).
- 14
Step 14

When the pie is completely cooled, you can dust it with powdered sugar.
- 15
Step 15

The pie can be easily divided into buns.
- 16
Step 16

Remove from the oven and serve warm or cooled.
