Pie with berries made from yeast-free puff pastry
Description
The recipe won't take much time. I always keep one or several packs of puff pastry in the fridge, just in case I crave something sweet but don't have time to fuss with dough. In such cases, this pastry is a real lifesaver. Today I'll share with you a recipe.
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. You will need two sheets of yeast-free puff pastry to make the pie. For the filling, you can use other fruits and berries, such as fresh or frozen raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, apples, etc.
- 2
Step 2

Roll out one sheet of dough as thinly as possible and place it on the bottom of a baking pan. I use a silicone baking mold, which doesn't need to be greased and the dough won't stick to it.

Step 3

Drain the cherries in a colander to remove the juice, then place them on the dough. Sprinkle sugar on top.

Step 4

Roll out the second sheet of dough and cover the pie with it. Crimp the edges. Brush the top with beaten egg yolk and poke several holes with a fork. Place the pie in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.

Step 5

The pie is ready. Let it sit for 15–20 minutes to cool thoroughly, otherwise it will break apart when slicing.

Step 6

Remove from the oven and serve warm or cooled.
