Apple pie without eggs
Description
The baking is simple and quick. It turns out you can make almost anything without eggs. When I started looking for egg-free recipes, I learned many new and useful things. An apple pie without eggs was my first attempt. I think it turned out great. I invite you to try it too. The batter should have the consistency of sour cream. You can mix the apples into the batter, place them at the bottom of the pan and then pour the batter over, or spread the batter first and then arrange the apples on top. The pie turns out really fluffy and airy. But let's go step by step. The baking is ready. Serve it at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Wash the apples, peel them, remove the cores and stems, and slice them thinly.
- 2
Step 2
In a large bowl, mix flour, semolina, butter, kefir, salt, sugar—regular and vanilla. Add baking powder or baking soda as well. There's no need to neutralize the baking soda, as the dough contains kefir. Knead the dough until it reaches a sour cream-like consistency.

Step 3
You can add apples to the batter and mix them in. Or you can place them in the mold (at the bottom) or on top of the batter (on top). I gently mix them with the batter.

Step 4
Grease the pie baking pan for an eggless apple pie with butter or vegetable oil and sprinkle with semolina or breadcrumbs.
- 5
Step 5
Pour the batter into the pan and tap the pan on the table a couple of times to evenly distribute the batter.
- 6
Step 6
Bake the apple pie in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 40 minutes. Check for doneness with a wooden toothpick or matchstick (it should come out dry).

Step 7
Sprinkle the ready apple pie without eggs with powdered sugar.
