Apple sauce pie

Description

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and cardamom. Set aside. In another bowl, using an electric mixer, beat butter, brown sugar, and honey. Add eggs, one at a time. Reduce speed and gradually add the flour mixture. Add applesauce. Grease a baking pan with oil. Spoon the batter into the pan. Bake the cake for 50 to 60 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board or baking sheet. Let cool completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
