Cherry jam pie
Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. 1. Take a small pot, pour in the cherry jam, add water and half of the sugar. Cook over low heat for about 10 minutes so the berries soften a bit. Remove from the heat and let cool. 2. Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Grease the baking pan with butter and lightly dust it with flour (just a tiny amount). 3. Take a mixer, put butter, half of the sugar and a pinch of salt into the mixing bowl. Beat for about 3 minutes until smooth. Then add 3 yolks and beat again until homogeneous. Add vanilla sugar and beat thoroughly once more. 4. In another bowl combine flour, baking powder and a little salt. Pour milk into this mixture and stir well. Mix the resulting batter with the butter‑and‑yolk mixture from step 3. 5. Take another small pot, mix 3 egg whites with wine vinegar. Stir until the whites become a uniform white liquid, but not into a foam. Add roughly one‑third of the beaten whites to the batter, stir, and voilà—our batter is ready. 6. Transfer the batter to the baking pan, drizzle a thin layer of cherry jam over the top and sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 45–50 minutes until the cake acquires a characteristic golden color. The easiest way to check doneness is with a matchstick or toothpick—if it comes out clean, the cake is ready; if batter sticks to it, bake a little longer. 7. Bon appétit! :)
