Step 1

1. To prepare the dough, start by beating the eggs. Do you know how to make a cherry cake in a multicooker light and fluffy? All ingredients should be added gradually, while continuously whisking vigorously with a whisk or mixer. Add sugar to the eggs in small batches.

Step 2

2. Sift the flour and add about half of it to the beaten eggs. The batter should be quite liquid but uniform. Continue beating vigorously to avoid lumps.

Step 3

3. At this stage, you can add the baking powder and pour in the milk. Gradually mix in the vegetable oil while stirring thoroughly. The dough should be smooth and not separate into layers.

Step 4

4. Now you can gradually add the remaining flour. To make the cherry cake in a multicooker at home light and airy, it's important not to overdo the flour. However, the dough should not be liquid; it should be rather thick, yet soft and free of lumps.

Step 5

5. When the dough is completely ready, grease the multicooker bowl with oil and, if desired, dust with flour or semolina. Pour the dough into the bowl.

Step 6

6. Place the cherries on top. You can use frozen berries straight away—no need to thaw them. Thanks to the fairly firm texture of the batter, the berries will stay on top. If the batter is made more liquid, the berries may sink and spread throughout the cake. Set the Baking mode for 60–70 minutes (depending on the appliance's power). Sprinkle the finished cake with powdered sugar.
