Pumpkin, Cheese and Seed Pie
Description
Baked goods are easy and quick to make. I came up with this pumpkin pie recipe myself. Long ago I heard somewhere about a pumpkin pie with cheese and tried to recreate something like it from memory—and it turned out as a savoury, very tasty pumpkin pie with cheese and seeds that everyone loved, even people who are not keen on baked goods. You can vary the ingredients in principle: any cheese will do, the oil does not have to be olive only, and you can use nuts instead of seeds. In short, improvisation is welcome :) Good luck. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Roll out the ready-made puff pastry into a sheet and place it on a lightly greased baking tray. Prick the dough with a fork, as shown in the photo. This is done so that the dough does not puff up after baking.
- 2
Step 2

Place the garlic and salt in a mortar. Grind until it reaches a paste-like consistency.
- 3
Step 3

Then pour half of the olive oil into the mortar and mix everything thoroughly.
- 4
Step 4

The resulting garlic butter should be spread evenly over our dough.
- 5
Step 5

Cut the peeled pumpkin into thin slices.
- 6
Step 6

Spread the pumpkin over the dough, then pour the remaining 50 ml of olive oil on top. Put it in the oven for 15 minutes and bake at 190 degrees.
- 7
Step 7

After 15 minutes, your pie should look approximately like this.
- 8
Step 8

Sprinkle the pie with grated cheese and seeds, put it back in the oven for another 5 minutes. Take it out, let it cool, and serve! :)
