Cheese pie made with yeast dough
Description
I love when a pie has a generous amount of filling. The combination of cottage cheese and hard cheese turned out to be excellent. Additionally, you can add various herbs: coriander, dill, parsley, green onions, or boiled eggs, vegetables such as peppers. Instead of yeast dough, you can use shortcrust pastry, but in my opinion, yeast dough is more suitable here—it pairs perfectly and turns out very soft. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions

Step 1

1. Put the cottage cheese into a bowl; it doesn't need to be strained. Add 2 chicken eggs and pour in the granulated sugar, then mix.
- 2
Step 2

2. Using ready-made yeast dough, roll it out thinly on the table.

Step 3

3. Place the cottage cheese filling and spread it evenly over the entire surface. Roll the dough tightly into a roll and shape it into a snail or arrange it differently in a heatproof baking dish.

Step 4

4. Into a separate bowl, I crack the remaining eggs, add mayonnaise, and mix.

Step 5

5. Grate the hard cheese coarsely (or use processed cheese), add it to the eggs and mayonnaise, and mix well.

Step 6

6. Pour the resulting mixture over the pie in the pan and let it sit for 40 minutes at room temperature.

Step 7

7. Bake in a preheated oven at 190 degrees for about 30 minutes, until a golden crust forms.

Step 8

8. I take the ready cake out of the oven and cut it into portions; it turned out incredibly tender and soft.
