Pie with cottage cheese and chocolate
Description
Homemade baking for tea. The pie turns out very airy with a delicate and sweet cottage‑cheese filling. I’m sharing with you the recipe, how to make this marvel in your kitchen. Yeast dough, cottage cheese and chocolate – that’s the whole set. You can add poppy seeds, zest or candied fruit to the dough, but in my opinion it’s already sweet enough. To get the cottage‑cheese and chocolate pie just right, the main thing is not to skimp on the filling, put more into our “nest,” because during baking the cottage cheese will settle a bit. When you take the pie out of the oven, dust it with powdered sugar; it will look like it’s been dusted with snow, bright and colorful – a great decoration for a festive table. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Let's start the dough. Sift the flour, mix it with salt and yeast.
- 2
Step 2

Add 50 g of sugar, 2 eggs, milk, and butter, softened beforehand. Mix everything well until smooth.
- 3
Step 3

Cover the bowl with a towel and place it in a warm spot for 1 hour.
- 4
Step 4

Pass the cottage cheese through a sieve, or better and faster—blend it with a blender, adding an egg and 100 g of sugar.
- 5
Step 5

Then add finely chopped chocolate to the filling. I have milk chocolate with a filling, and you add your favorite.
- 6
Step 6

When the dough has risen, knead it again and let it rest for another 30 minutes. Now it is ready. Divide the dough into two parts. From one piece make the base, and divide the second piece into two thin strands as shown in the photo.
- 7
Step 7

Gather the pie components, place the base on parchment paper, make a braid from the laces, and lay it on top of the base.
- 8
Step 8

Spread the filling in the center of our pie and decorate it with multicolored dragees.
- 9
Step 9

Beat the yolk in a separate bowl and brush the edges of our pie, so it will turn out beautiful and golden.
- 10
Step 10

Let our preparation stand for 20 minutes, just as the oven heats up to 200 °C. Bake the pie for 20–25 minutes.
