Mushroom Pie
Description
Delicious baked treat for the whole family. When the intoxicating aroma of mushrooms starts wafting through the apartment, the entire family will gather at the kitchen door. Well, how can anyone stay away when a golden, perfectly browned mushroom pie is hiding in the oven? Pour everyone a glass of cold milk, serve generous slices of pie, and turn it into a celebration! Serve cooled down or slightly warm.
Instructions

Step 1

Mix the flour with 1/4 teaspoon of salt, sugar, and eggs. Then prepare the starter. To do this, dissolve the yeast in warm milk with the addition of 1 tablespoon of flour. When bubbles appear on the surface, add the starter to the flour.

Step 2

Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and knead the dough. Place the dough in a warm spot for one to one and a half hours. Once the dough has doubled or tripled in size, punch it down and knead it again thoroughly.

Step 3

While the dough is rising, you can prepare the filling. Wash and chop the mushrooms (I used button mushrooms and white mushrooms that I had on hand), then place them in a hot skillet together with finely chopped onion. Sauté the mushrooms in vegetable oil until golden brown.

Step 4

Divide the prepared dough into 2 parts—the larger part should be slightly bigger than the other. Roll out the larger portion and place it into a greased pie pan. Try to leave the edges as high as possible. Cover the pan with a towel and let the dough rest for 10–15 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

Place the ready and slightly cooled filling onto the dough.

Step 6

Roll out the second part of the dough and place it over the filling. Carefully seal the edges, make a small hole in the center, and let it rest for 15 minutes. For a beautiful golden color, brush the pie with egg yolk. Place the pie in the oven and bake for 30 minutes at 210-240 degrees.

The mushroom pie is ready!
