
Fish and onion pie in mustard sauce
Description
Homemade pastry for tea. A delicious fish pie made with fish fillet and smoked mackerel under a juicy onion-mustard sauce. The wonderful fish filling is covered with a crispy puff pastry topping! Very tasty, unusual, and quite easy to make. Be sure to treat your loved ones to this pie. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Peel the onion and slice it into half-rings. Sauté in butter until translucent.

Add bay leaf, cloves, and pepper. Pour in the broth and reduce by half.

Pour in the cream.

Add the mustard powder.

Cut the fish fillet into pieces. Remove the mackerel from the bones and cut it into pieces as well.

Grease a heat-resistant dish with oil. Place a layer of fish fillet.

Then — half of the mackerel.

And half of the onion sauce.

Repeat the layers until you reach the top of the mold.

Thaw the dough and roll it out. Place it on top of the baking form, pressing the edges firmly to seal. Trim off the excess, cut out some decorative shapes to place on top of the pie. Make a small hole in the center and brush the top of the pie with egg yolk.

Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 190 degrees for about 40 minutes.
