Jam pie made with puff pastry
Description
The recipe won't take much time. To make a jam pie using puff pastry, you'll need a pack of ready-made dough and your favorite jam. I used blackcurrant jam, which I sprinkled with sugar because it was a bit tart on its own. The pie is prepared very quickly—see for yourself. Serve it warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients. If the dough is frozen, thaw it.
- 2
Step 2

Roll out two layers of dough. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place one layer of dough on the baking sheet.
- 3
Step 3

Spread the jam evenly over it. You can sprinkle with sugar to taste, but be careful not to oversweeten the future pie.
- 4
Step 4

Roll out the second layer of dough as well and cut it into strips; they should not be too thick.
- 5
Step 5

Diagonally cover the pie with strips. If you have leftover dough or trimmings, you can use them to make decorations for the pie.
- 6
Step 6

For example, I made these little flowers and used them to decorate the top of a pie. Place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15–20 minutes.
- 7
Step 7

As soon as the pie is browned, remove it—it's ready.
- 8
Step 8

Serve the ready-made jam pie made from puff pastry with tea, sprinkled with powdered sugar.
