Meat pie made with puff pastry
Description
You can make this pie with any meat. Chicken or pork work especially well. The filling turns out very juicy and easily soaks into the dough. You can also add vegetables to the filling to your taste. You can add the meat directly to the filling without pre-frying, but in my opinion, it turns out more tender this way. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Rinse the meat under running water, clean it, remove the tendons and film, then cut into cubes. Also, turn on the oven to preheat to 180-200 degrees.
- 2
Step 2
Peel the onion and finely chop it.
- 3
Step 3
Heat the oil in a skillet and sauté the onion until translucent and soft, stirring constantly.
- 4
Step 4
Add the beef to the onion and fry until a nice crust forms. When the meat is browned, add a little water, season with salt and pepper to taste, cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.

Step 5
Line a baking dish with dough, covering the bottom. Leave a bit of dough around the edges to seal the pie. Place the already cooled filling onto the dough. Cover with another layer of dough and pinch the edges to seal.

Step 6
Beat the egg and brush the top of the pie with it. Bake the pie for 30 minutes at 180 degrees.
